Sheriff's office to offer free boating class

The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Free Boating Class for all ages, coming May 4, 11, and 18. Class starts at 8 a.m. and runs about six hours. They have two different courses to choose from, a Motorized or Paddle Sport class.

The classes include topics on: General information on boats and maintenance, information on making your boating experience safer and more enjoyable, Idaho specific laws required for boating, safe operation of your boat, life jacket awareness and a small exam at the end. The class will be held at the Boundary County Waterways building, 6821 Riverside St., Bonners Ferry.
