Florence Marion ‘Jill’ Bosworth
Florence Marion “Jill” Bosworth, 79, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho passed away May 26, 2019, at the Community Hospital in Bonners ferry. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Jill Was born on May 7, 1940, in Missoula, Mont., to James and Dorothy Rusk. She grew up in Missoula where she graduated high school from Missoula County Public High School in 1958. She went on a blind date to the Foresters Ball with Bob Bosworth. They later married on June 5, 1965. In 1967 son Carson was born. They lived in Orofino, Idaho until 1968. They moved to Bonners Ferry where she resided until her passing. In 1970, daughter Megan was born.
The family traveled every summer to logging shows. She and Bob would compete together in the Jack and Jill Sawing. Jill worked at Valley View for quite a few years as a secretary. One of her favorite things to do was to go to the Society of American Foresters Meetings and conventions with Bob. They went to many cool places; she loved bringing home a new tote bag filled with free goodies from the conventions. Later in life she joined the Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her church friends and family.
Jill was a crafty person and enjoyed making jewelry, cards, and notebooks. Most of all she had a love for cats Pete, George, Pumpkin, and Max — Max being the latest kept her company until her passing. Those who really knew Jill knew that her greatest love came from her two grandsons. Hunter and Sawyer were the apple in Grandma’s eyes. She carried pictures of them in her purse, and would use every opportunity to show off how much they had grown and brag of their latest accomplishments from sports to being valedictorian.
Mom will definitely be missed by her friends and family. She will always be remembered for being spunky and quick witted. She liked a good joke and it didn’t matter if it was off color or not.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Rusk, both sets of grandparents, and her husband Robert “Bos” Bosworth and several cats.
She is survived by her son Carson of Lake Geneva, Wis., daughter Megan Shelmerdine and husband Phil of Seeley Lake, Mont., and her two grandsons Hunter and Sawyer Shelmerdine.
The family would like to thank everyone who has played a role in taking care of mom the past few years; You all had a special place in mom’s heart.
