BONNERS FERRY — With 2019 marking the ninety-ninth year of the Boundary County Fair, it was buzzing with people.
‘It’s All a Buzz’ was this years theme, sparking a wide variety of creativity throughout the fairgrounds, from goats with wings running through the parking lot, to a dressed up cow that stood solidly in the Pavillion and allowed people to learn how to milk her, the bee theme was a hit.
Fairgoers were able to view various booths, vendors, and the wide variety of winning products from food to art to animals. There was a wide variety of things for kids to see and do, one of which was a room filled with wild animal pelts and statues that the kids could touch, a variety of bounce houses, some people allowed kids to hold or pet their fair animals, face painting, and more.
As all those that were involved in the fair recover from the busy week, the community looks onward to the 2020 fair, which will mark one century that the Boundary County Fair has been a part of the community.
