Bonners Ferry High School Trap Team, “Dukes Claybusters”: The Claybusters team practiced 16 yards. All shooters in the 20sX25. Melanie Campbell 21X25, Seth Rice 22X25, Ryan Carelli 23X25, Wyatt McDonald 21X25, Wade Rice 23X25, Wyatt Hathaway 21X25, and Dane Hathaway 20X25.

The other members are on vacation or have a job. That’s a good thing, as school is about to start again. Full practice after school start is on Saturdays. We have a team shoot scheduled for October in Troy-Deary, Idaho, and trying for one in Spokane, Wash., on Sept. 28.

The gun club is still open Wednesday at 10 a.m. for beginners and ladies welcome, and Sundays at 10 a.m., practice rounds and Annie Oakleys for meat prizes. Thanks to Don Smith’s meat department at Super 1 Foods.

This weekend don’t forget!! Last chance to buy your raffle tickets for the new 2020 Yamaha ATV 450, a weekend at Kootenai River Inn, stainless steel gas barbecue with side burner from Super 1 Foods, a pallet of presto logs or a ton of pellets from North Idaho Energy Logs or a $100 gas card from 3 Mile Station. We will be selling tickets at Super 1 Foods on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30, and 31. We will be drawing for the winning tickets at Pace and Kerby Insurance, on Sept. 3. Elaine Gutherie, the mother of Terry (Duke) Gutherie, (our namesake,) will be drawing the lucky tickets,

Please come out and support our High School and Middle School Trapshooting Teams (Sub. Jr. and Jr. ) by buying a raffle ticket. This raffle helps buy the shells and safety gear.
