COURTESY PHOTO Kari Anne Bradford shared that their tradition is to get everyone with cool whip, and every year they take turns for who will be the attacker. One of her little sisters, Sarah, started it this year and she got everyone except Bradford’s husband. She only had a little cool whip on the tip of her fingers but he wouldn’t get anywhere near her, so Bradford jumped in — deciding cool whip wouldn’t be good enough — and got a whole vanilla cheesecake pie. Then her husband quickly turned the tables. She said that things got a little sticky at her mom’s house this year.

COURTESY PHOTO Lisa Kellogg Carle shared that she had the best Thanksgiving ever, welcoming her grandchild into the world. Wesson Bradley Carle was born at 12:42 p.m. on Thanksgiving afternoon. He is the son of Warren Carle and Samantha Carle. He weighed eight pounds, 7 ounces and was 22 inches long at birth. He is welcomed by big sister, Kenzie Mutter. Grandparents are Lisa Carle and Chad Carle, and Robert Stuurmans and Annette Stuurmans.

The Bonners Ferry Herald asked people in the community to share their Thanksgiving photos and stories.

From frogmore stew to whipped cream fights, food babies to brand new babies, it was obvious that Thanksgiving was a happy time for these contributors.
