Valley View staff is excited to have the students back in the hallways after Thanksgiving break. We welcome December and the snow that comes with it and look forward to continuously challenging our students academically, socially, and behaviorally.
At VVES we celebrate a character trait every month. In October we celebrated the character trait of responsibility. The definition of responsibility is doing your best and making good choices; it is being disciplined and accountable for your actions. The following students and staff were recognized, and they are: Abigail Michel, Benjamin Jones, Pedro Fuentes, Oakley Pluid, Adelynn Merrifield, London Sceppe, Julia Cook, Paisley Gross, Sullyvan Pauls, Brydin Weymer, Andrea Hall, Edna Abraham-Gus, Victoria Carmean- Helsper, Eva Naranjo, Rylan Leach, Addison Lucas, Gracie Pluid, Levi Krautcremer, Mrs. Teresa Smith, and Mrs. Pam Copeland.
In the month of November we celebrated the character trait of citizenship, and the definition of citizenship is being prepared, cooperative and doing your share; it is helping to make your school, community, country, and world a better place. The following students and staff were recognized, and they are: Zoey Wolf, Olivia Lawrence, Dax Bateman, Caelem Stewart, Bradon Cartwright-Kissee, Cheyenne Barras, Aubrey Rozok, Brody Swift, Eva Majeski, Joan Moellmer, Patrick Young, Lyndsey Overman, Marley Pauls, Mosiah Allred, Kaydence Curiel, Peyton Hinthorn, Riston Allred, Abby Gentry, Mrs. Paula Petesch, and Mr. Bob Stoddard. Please congratulate the following individuals when you get a chance.
In addition, please note that our annual Christmas program this year is going to be located at Boundary County Middle School on Wednesday, December 18th. The program will start at 6 p.m. so please come a bit early and find a seat. Thank you!
VVES recognizes those in our building by writing PAWS. It is a great way to build up our students and staff and is also a proactive way to curve any misbehavior. The month of October VVES set a new all-time record and wrote 1,502 blue and grey PAWS. Just so you know, a blue PAW is when an adult writes a PAW to a child for doing something wonderful in the building. A grey PAW is when a child writes something wonderful to one of their own classmates. This is such a great way to grow kindness, how to give a compliment and how to receive one. In a world that is often negative, I can’t communicate enough how proud I am to see so many grey PAWs on our board every month.
Our wonderful guidance counselor, Mrs. U, wrote a grant recently and was awarded a $2,500 check from Walmart to assist students with warm clothes this winter. If there are any needs please don’t hesitate to contact VVES. Thank you!
VVES is always looking for substitute teachers and this year is no different. If you, or someone you know is interested please don’t hesitate to connect with the district office and complete your paperwork. Thank you to the many that volunteer in our school and support our students and staff, you are appreciated greatly!
