BONNERS FERRY — On Friday evening, Dec. 13, and Sunday afternoon, Dec. 15 the Bonners Ferry Community Choir presented their Christmas performance, titled ‘O Come All Ye Faithful,’ held at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The choir, along with pianist Jeff Hunsacker, performed arrangements of traditional Christmas songs, including ‘O Come All Ye Faithful,’ ‘Processional for Christmas’ by Benjamin Harlan, and the ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas Praise’ by Pepper Choplin.

There were people from many local churches involved in the performance, including the Mennonite Church, the Lutheran Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the United Methodist Church, and the Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Church.

“We got a standing ovation on Sunday. It was a glorious moment,” said choir director Julie McLeish, about the performance. “The concert was so beautiful and the choir put so much hard work into it.”

McLeish also put in the hard work, spending a lot of time with her choir, making sure that the performance shone during the holidays.

“She really worked on every single little part, so we got it as perfect as we could get it. She brought out the best in us,” said choir member, Joe Ward. “It was great. I enjoyed it. In fact, I am all ready to get started again, right now — I hate to wait another year.”
