Unique finds aplenty at Naples Craft Fair
NAPLES — Craft Fair vendors lined the walls and floor of the Naples Elementary School cafeteria on Saturday, Dec. 14, to showcase and sell their wares.
From Christmas spiders and gnomes or Tomtes, to package deals from cosmetologists, to leather armor and homemade knitted hats and helmets, the event was a crafters and shoppers success.
Amy Wenger and Emily Smith from Picturesque, a Bonners Ferry salon, photography and yoga studio, were located behind their table with a variety of baskets for raffle to be completed on Dec. 20, and deals on services.
Holiday shopping could include salon services in downtown Bonners Ferry.
“We always have gift certificates,” said Wenger.
Unique items were on display and for sale during this year’s craft fair to include a booth by KD Steampunk who sells handmade clothing, armor and accessories.
Crocheted knights helmets for kids and a full-leather armored suit was available among the many other interesting and unique items for sale.
Regarding a leather mask for sale, Kalika Reed said, “It took me many weeks to make that.”
Shoppers also took advantage while perusing the booths to learn some holiday history. Sisters Becca and Nelly Harmon offered Christmas Spiders and told the legend of the spider, a Germanic and Eastern European folktale that explains how tinsel became a mainstay on the holiday tree.
