Balk honored as Classified Employee of the Month

Amber Balk is in her first year at Naples Elementary School, but you wouldn’t know it. She has jumped in with both feet and gotten to work. She has three roles there: technology instructor, librarian, and K-3 Literacy.

Amber has really become part of the community and is working to do her part in improving our little school. The library has been completely revamped and organized into an incredible layout. She was just awarded a $2,000 grant that is specifically for our library.

Amber was instrumental in piloting and helping select a typing program that students across the district are using. She also works to help improve students’ literacy abilities daily by coordinating efforts with classroom teachers.

Amber knows our students and works to help them achieve, grow, and learn as individuals. She puts in countless hours outside of her contract to help Naples School be the best it can be. She loves the students and they love her. Amber Balk is most deserving of this, and we are glad she is a Naples Wolverine!
