Penguin Plunge: Get ready to be 'Freezin' for a Reason'
What do you mean the Ice on the Kootenai River looks cold? That’s what it is all about! Freezin’ for a Reason!
The 2019 Penguin Plunge on March 9 is looking to be the best ever. Our fabulous judges including; Distinguished Young Woman Shawna Siver, Magistrate Tera Harden, Mayor David Sims, Commissioner Wally Cossairt, High School Principal Kevin Dinning, Mugsy’s Owner Danielle Reasoner, and Waterways Chairman Darron Branson will bear the burden of choosing the best jumpers for various categories.
Physicians Assistant Haley Halleman will start things off singing the National Anthem, followed by Distinguished Young Woman Shawna Siver leading the Athletes Oath and Pledge, and of course the MC will be presenting music fitting the occasion and interviewing people throughout the event.
Ahoy to Captain Dan Mimmack and his Pirate Ship which has a secret treasure chest that kids will be able to board the ship and get a treasure.
No worries about the cold— Bill form North Idaho Spas will have his wonderful hot, hot, hot tub ready for the plungers to regain the warmth needed after the very short visit with Neptune in the Kootenai River.
