Planning for the road ahead: Free healthcare education event planned

A healthcare education symposium will take place at the Kootenai River Inn in the Ktxunxa Room on March 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free to everyone and light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

The presenters will be Amanda Dowell R.N> with Home Health/ Hospice at 9 a.m., Denise Stewart with Estate & Long Term Law Group at 10 a.m., Pat Pace with Area Agency on Aging speaking about elder abuse at 11 a.m., followed by a question and answer hour presented by a panel of experts at noon. At 1 p.m. Noreen Brisson with SHIBA speaking about Medicare/Medicaid other insurance issues, then Mayor Dave Sims on the Spot Bus at 2 p.m., and finishing with Dennis Dinning MPA, Trustee, speaking about local services at the Boundary Community Hospital.
