BONNERS FERRY — A fire broke out in a mobile home on Tuesday afternoon on Crossport Road. By the time fire crews arrived, the structure was fully involved and spread to nearby trees.

Paradise Valley Fire, North Bench Fire, South Boundary Fire, Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, Boundary Ambulance, and Boundary County Chaplain Corp.’s Angel 1 all responded to the call.

The mobile home was a complete loss, but there were no injuries reported. There were small explosions during the fire which were believed to be propane tanks. Crossport Road was shut down at the scene while the firefighters worked on the fire.

This marked Angel 1’s first time responding to a live scene.

“They came out and helped out, which was awesome,” said Incident Commander and North Bench Fire Chief Gus Jackson, who has nicknamed the vehicle A-1.
