Second week for Dukes Claybusters” Spokesman and Big Sky I-Net Shoot

Boy, I really feel proud as a coach, having 10 school shooters this week. Colin Fairchild broke a 16 yard score of 24X25 plus 17X25 in handicap for a total of 41X25, his 16 yard score was the highest of all 24 shooters, shot it with his new C-Z 12 gauge. Kamen Nelson broke 19X25 and 17X25 for a total of 36X50, first time shooting his new C-Z 12 gauge, made for left hand shooters. Seth Rice 19X25 and 19X25 for a total 38X50, glad he made it back out, I hope he is doing well in basketball.

Melanie Campbell 17X25 and 18X25 total 35, Cassidy Underhill 11X25 and 8X25 total 19X50; Wyatt Hathaway 18X25 and 15X25 total 33; Dane Hathaway 16X25 and 18X25 total 34; Ryan Carelli 17X25 and 12X25 total 29; Wyatt McDonald 15X25 and 8X25 total 23 and Cade Jelinek 13X25 and 14X25 total 27.

The weather was 34 degrees with a very cold breeze from the north and low clouds. Very good scores especially for the newer shooters and new guns. Next week there is a rifle shoot next door at KVSC. I wish all shooters good luck. The trap club will STAY OPEN until rifle shooting is over so the trap shooters can shoot here for a scores.

We had 14 shooters today. Wally Dinning winning “A” class with 23X25 and 21X28 = 44 and James Daniels 22X25 and 16X25 = 38 won “B” class by count back as he was tied with Bill Bustillos. The club members voted on two classes instead of three.

We had 10 shooters in the Annie Oakley’s, John Kellogg won his first Annie with his 28 gauge— great shooting John. Last week John brought his daughter Lehann out to shoot and after a couple practices round she got in the Annies and lo and behold out-shot her dad. Well this week he forgot to bring her along, and lo and behold he won the Annie, what fun.

Until next week, shoot safe and Keep your powder dry.
