WineShop At Home: Wine, food, and friends
BONNERS FERRY — Getting friends together for an evening of social fun while drinking wine, and learning more about different kinds of wines and their pairings, is just what happened at Breanna Stippich’s home on Jan. 12.
Stippich hosted a wine tasting for her small business called WineShop At Home. As a consultant, she hosts wine tasting parties that allow people to sample the wide variety of unique wines the company offers.
This company has a large selection of red and white wines to choose from, but once the wine is sold out, it’s gone. A person can host a wine tasting party at their own home and Stippich will provide the wine and list of ideal pairings, and provide an informative presentation. The guests can then order through their consultant directly from the wineries, or even become a consultant themselves.
“1-800 WineShop.Com, Inc. DBA WineShop At Home, is a licensed, bonded California winery and a proud member of the Direct Selling Association, adhering to the DSA Code of Ethics. WineShop At Home is a whole new way to learn about, experience and shop for great wines,” as stated on their website.
The WineShop At Home is the only winery to produce four new wines every month of the year to add to their growing collection of award winning wines, sourced from top quality grapes from throughout California and the world’s best grapes.
“Our vision is to provide the best wine lifestyle experience in the world. We envision a world where the enjoyment, education and purchasing of wine is a pursuit and pleasure available to everyone,” as stated on their website about their goals.
Stippich first found out about WineShop At Home through social media about five years ago and proceeded to make contact with a consultant in the Hayden area. Being pregnant with her first daughter, closely followed by her second daughter, Stippich was forced to wait to begin her wine adventure.
“I love trying new wines, and sharing them with my friends and family, so the idea of doing that and getting paid was a pretty perfect pairing,” said Stippich. “I have been doing it over a year now and love it. I love meeting new people and introducing them to the wine world.”
With a fun and relaxing vibe during the tastings, Stippich added that they can be anything the host wants them to be. Some do cook-offs using the suggested recipe pairings for the wines, which are listed on a card that tells about each wine in depth, while other hosts choose to theme their parties.
“The possibilities are endless,” said Stippich. “It’s a great way to enjoy some amazing wines with your friends and/or family. Our ability to provide for events as well, and customize labels for them can add that extra touch that our hosts love.”
For the lovers of wine, socialization, and making their own schedule, Stippich recommends this company.
“It’s nice to be in the position to create my own workload yet still be able to raise my daughters and contribute financially to the family,” said Stippich. “I have made friends from all walks of life that I never would have if I wasn’t doing this, and that alone makes it worth it.”
There are numerous reasons one may utilize to host a wine tasting party, a birthday celebration, wedding, anniversary, or simply to get together with friends and have a fun and informative evening.
“Hosting a tasting is super simple, and I am there to coach all the way,” said Stippich. “That’s the beauty of it; you invite people, provide pairings, sit back and enjoy. Even if someone isn’t interested in doing a tasting, the ability to buy wine and wine products is available 24/7 on the website, and I am available to help with any questions or orders.”
