Berneice A. Morgen

Berneice A. Morgen, age 84, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her sleep due to natural causes, Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 24, 2019, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Reception to follow.

Berneice was born on Aug. 14, 1934, in Pueblo, Colo., to Katherine (Patterson) and Harry Dudley of Naples, Idaho. She was the second youngest of five children.

Berneice resided in Hayden, Idaho, approximately 25 years where she tended to her passion of gardening, baking for family and friends, and caring for her pets and her chickens.

She lovingly raised six children. She was divorced from Charles J. Morgen (deceased) and never remarried. While Berneice worked a variety of jobs from bus driver to store manager, she approached each occupation tirelessly. Berneice was a devoted employee at Sunshine Mint until age 78.

She is survived by five children, Nick Morgen of Hayden, Idaho, Lori (Morgen) Koubek and Deneice (Morgen) Fodge of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Mike Morgen of Boise, Idaho, and Shaun Morgen of Newman Lake, Wash.; a sister, Barbara Bennett of Osborn, Idaho, and a sister-in-law, Janetta Dudley of Colstrip, Mont.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles (Chucky) Morgen, Sister Lucy Covey, parents Katherine and Harry Dudley, brother Charles Dudley and Brother, Walter Dudley.

Berneice will be missed by her family and all who had an opportunity to know her.
