VVES counselor is January Certified Employee of the Month

Mrs. Adetta Umphenour is the guidance counselor at Valley View Elementary School and currently fulfilling her 1st year. Although she is new to the district she is already a key member of the Valley View team and is a wonderful edition to our school.

A colleague of Mrs. Umphenour stated, “that Mrs. U is a breath of fresh air and has gone above and beyond for our students.” Another team member wrote, “Mrs. U has helped so many individuals already and that she is a pleasure to work with and has a huge heart for all people.”

Mrs. Umphenour stated that she adores coming to work to high fives and faces full of potential. She believes that all the students at Valley View represent a bright future for our community and nation. She loves being in a position that she can positively impact learners and by far that is her favorite part of her day.”

Mrs. Umphenour resides in Naples, Idaho with her husband, and has two grown children that have graduated from Bonners Ferry High School. She lives on a small farm and takes care of her dog, horses, and mules.

Mrs. Umphenour enjoys being outdoors, gardening, swimming, soaking up the sun, riding horses and anything to do with power sports. She enjoys competitive sports both as an observer and a participant. She has recently started hiking and is hoping to hike Pacific Crest Trail this summer.

BCSD 101 is very lucky to have Mrs. Adetta Umphenour within our district educating and supporting our students.
