BONNERS FERRY — The Bonners Ferry Safeway has recently welcomed its new Store Director, Rob Foxx.

Foxx grew up in Coeur d’Alene and moved north to Bonners Ferry about a year ago with his wife and two children.

In 1990, he began his career in the grocery industry at an Albertsons in Coeur d’Alene as a bagger, eventually working his way up to Store Director in 2004.

“My goals are always the same and that is to have my team deliver fast, friendly service to everyone that visits my store,” said Foxx. “It is our job to greet, offer assistance, and a thank you for shopping with us each and every time you come in to our store.”

The store will be a part of the Boundary County Fair on Aug. 17, in the arena, where they will be hosting Safeway Arena Games from 12:30-4:30 p.m. for participants of all ages.

“Safeway has been a long time sponsor of many community events and I will continue to seek out and be part of these local events,” said Foxx.

Safeway has been a part of Bonners Ferry since 1962, putting them at about 57 years of serving the local residents and visitors.

With the implementation of the new director, the Bonners Ferry Safeway has seen some subtle changes, for example, quick and efficient customer service.

“I have the best job,” said Foxx. “I get to teach, coach, and mentor my store team to deliver exceptional customer service. Thank you for shopping with us and letting us serve you. We look forward to serving you again soon.”

Safeway is located at 6519 S. Main St., their phone number is 208-267-1650, or visit safeway.com.
