BONNERS FERRY — Students gathered with their family and friends on June 1 at the football field as they bade farewell to the Boundary County School District.

The class and audience heard from Principal Kevin Dinning, Class President Falisha Elliston, Valedictorian Connor Claphan, Salutatorian Caleb Peterson and guest speaker Leona Harner during the ceremony.

Superintendent Gary Pfleuger bade his farewells to the students of 2019 as the last time he would be handing out diplomas before his retirement.

As people move on with their lives, parting ways, it can be bittersweet to say goodbye to those seen almost every day, had struggles and triumphs with, and learned with.

They will get to have the opportunity to reunite again in the future during class reunions, where they will be able to catch up with one another and see how far each person has come, making this bittersweet farewell a temporary one.
