BONNERS FERRY — Every year the Idaho Department of Lands holds a two-day training event in the woods as new firefighters begin work at the start of the fire season.

This hands-on training covers, among other things, line digging, hose lays, and medical incidents. This year the medical incident was done with the help of Boundary Ambulance and Life Flight.

Thanks also goes out to Sandy and Marty Steinhagen and Mandi Bateman, who volunteered their time and skills.
