Mirror Lake Ladies' Golf Report

For the week of May 28 and 29, Game of the Day was “Ace of the Month” and “Longest Putt on Hole #9.” The last Tuesday and Wednesday of every month are “Ace” days. At the end of the season, all the “Ace” winners compete for the grand prize “Ace of Aces” which is announced at the Mirror Lake Ladies’ awards and recognition dinner in October. Nobody won longest putt. Not due to lack of trying. Pin placement was particularly atrocious.

For the Wednesday morning players, Game of the Day Winner and “Ace” for the month of May was Linda Bogden, with a net 34. Shane McTaggart, a new member/visitor won the Low Gross award with 49. Linda Bogden and Jenny Link tied for Low Putts with 15.

In Flight B, Carrie Figgins (our President) won Low Gross and Low Net with a 42. Carrie also won for Low Putts with 16. Pam Regher had her third “chip in” of the 2019 season on Hole #5. (Pam says she doesn’t know how it happens. We are beginning to doubt that.) Pam was also a close second to Carrie’s Low Putts with 17.

For the Tuesday evening golfers in Flight A, Therese Helmer and Gerry Ann Howlett tied for game of the day “Ace” for May with low nets of 35. Julie Williams won for Low Gross with 42. Julie and Gerry Ann tied for Low Putts with 15. In Flight B, Renee Murphy won Low Gross with 59 and Low Net with 39.

The Mirror Lake golf ladies meet every Tuesday evening and/or every Wednesday morning from the beginning of May through the middle of October. Tuesday evenings, arrive at 5 p.m., and Wednesday mornings, arrive at or around 8 a.m. for the summer tee off time of 9 a.m., which allows us to stay cooler longer. We love having guests and meeting new golfers! Any interested lady golfer is welcome to join in.
