Calling all Boundary County growers

| June 20, 2019 1:00 AM

With the resistance growing, now is the time to fight back!

This year’s Boundary County Variety Trials Tour and Field Day will be held Friday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sponsored by Houck Farms, University of Idaho Extension, and Westbred, this event features University of Idaho researchers as well as the Boundary County Weed Superintendent, Dave Wenk. Trial results for winter wheat and winter barley, spring wheat and spring barley, and canola and mustard will be showcased in a field tour, followed by herbicide and disease updates for these crops. Dave Wenk and his daughter Haley, a University of Idaho summer intern, will present information on the growing threat of herbicide resistance and what growers can do to help keep it under control. Bring your questions for the experts!

Lunch is provided free of charge. Pesticide recertification credits (two or three credits) will be available. All are welcome! For more information, please call 208-267-3235 or email kpainter@uidaho.edu to reserve your spot.
