Letter to the Editor: Facts about the School M&O levy

SCHOOL LEVY: Support our community, vote yes

The M&O levy coming up for a vote on March 12 is not a new tax. This is a renewal of the same levy that voters have passed every year for the last 20-plus years. The amount of the levy is the same that it has been for the last four years. The taxes that you pay for schools will not go up!

The M&O Levy is absolutely necessary to bridge the gap between what the state of Idaho provides for our schools and what it actually takes to operate and maintain or school system.

All county schools benefit from the levy.

Boundary County schools spend less per student than the state average.

Boundary County teachers make less than the state average.

Please support your community schools by voting yes March 12.
