Remembering The Fallen: Memorial Day 2019

On Monday, May 27, the Veterans Service Organizations of Boundary County will observe Memorial Day 2019.
The day’s event will commence with a parade starting at 10 a.m. All persons wishing to participate in the parade are requested to form at the Boundary County Fairgrounds between 9-9:30 a.m. As a reminder, the Service groups request as a safety measure that no candy be thrown from the vehicles in the parade. It is advised and accepted to have parade entries provide personnel to walk along with the vehicles and safely pass out the candy.
The Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at the Grandview Cemetery and shall commence at noon. This year’s guest speaker will be Teresa Rae, Lt. Col, U.S. Army Retired.
