Eileen (Miller) Turner

Former longtime Moyie Springs resident Eileen Turner passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Dec. 7, 2018. Eileen was born in Douglas, Wyo., to Charles and Ruth Miller. She was the first of 17 children.

The family moved to Boundary County in 1942. She would be the first of three generations to graduate from Bonners Ferry High School. She married Lawrence “Pete” Turner and they had two daughters, Drexel and Ruth.

While living in Moyie, she helped to form the Moyie Houseparty club. She belonged to the local square dance club and also one in Canada. She enjoyed trips spanning from California to Texas to visit family and friends. She made the best homemade bread and always had extra to share with family and friends. She was an accomplished seamstress. She always volunteered in the communities where she lived.

Preceded in death by: Pete Turner; parents Charles and Ruth Miller; sisters Verna Lee Robinson and Lavina Miller; brothers Charles Miller, Robert Miller, Floyd Miller, Kenneth Miller, Paul Miller, John Miller and Clifford Miller; and great-grandson David Krewson Jr.

Survived by daughters Drexel Love and Ruth Barker; son-in-law Robert Love; grandchildren Deborah Biehl and Michelle Krewson; great-grandchildren Robert Schneider, Darby Biehl, Bradley Biehl and Destiny Krewson; sisters Louise Mason, Kathleen Roberts and Carole Nystrom; and brothers Joe Miller, Jerry Miller and Dan Miller.

Services will be held in Bonners Ferry on Thursday, May 30.
