School district discusses closures, upcoming breaks

With the winter months at hand, Boundary County School District #101 wants to inform patrons that emergency school will be announced on the following stations:

Radio: KBFI 1450 AM, KPBX 92.1 FM, KDRK 94 FM, KPND 95.3 FM, and K102 AM.

TV: KREM TV Channel 2, KXLY TV Channel 4, and KHQ TV Channel 6.

Emergency school closure information will also be on our emergency telephone line 208-267-8934. The District will also be using the power announcement system to notify parents, guardians and staff at any school emergency, including school closures. It will also be posted on our district’s website at www.bcsd101.com.

Please use these sources to learn of closure information. Also remember inclement weather and winter road conditions may cause buses to be less punctual so dress your children accordingly to meet these conditions.

THANKSGIVING BREAK: There will be NO SCHOOL the entire week of Nov. 25-28 for the Thanksgiving break. School will resume Monday, Dec. 2.

CHRISTMAS BREAK: The last day of school before Christmas Break is Thursday, Dec. 19 and is a full day. Christmas vacation will begin Monday, Dec. 23 — Jan. 2, 2020. School resumes on Monday, Jan. 6.
