Bonners Ferry High School Trap Team, “Dukes Claybusters”: Nice day for practice — great scores. High score today with his first 25X25 was Dillon McLeish — congratulation Dillon. Melanie Campbell almost again, with a 24X25 and Wyatt McDonald 24X25, Colin Fairchild 23X25. We have a new member, Torsten Conover, with 22X25, welcome. Ryan Carelli 21X25 and Ilena still improving with each practice.
I would like to thank Ken Brink, Ron Campbell, Brian McDonald and the other parents for helping out today as I was at a meeting in Colton, Wash., for one of our winter league competitions. The Camas Prairie Handicap — Bonners Ferry is one of 23 clubs involved. Starts Jan. 12, 2020. The finale is March 20-22 at Walla Walla, Washington Gun Club. A great shoot for all Jrs and Junior teams, Sub Jr. and Sub Jr. Teams, as well as adults men and ladies.
RV spaces available after Jan. 1, 2020 — $50 for three days, with water and power. I can call and reserve a space or give you the number to call if you are interested in coming down to support your Jr., Sub Jrs shooters, and you adults can shoot too. Motels available within two to three miles from the Trap Club.
All the Claybusters shot well today. Maybe I should be gone more often, great shooting to all.
Sunday, Nov. 10
Bonners Ferry Gun Club had 11 shooters, very nice weather again. Larry Zeigler was up from the Hauser Lake Club, two shooters from Montana and one from Sandpoint. Practice rounds and Annie Oakleys. Only two pieces of meat to Houser, one to Montana, and the home boys won the rest. Wally Dinning took home a bacon. The play of the day was John Kellogg’s daughter shooting him out in the Annie Oakley.
Shoot safe and keep your powder dry.
