Norman Lee Aldridge

Norman Lee Aldridge, 68, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at Mountain Springs Church in Bonners Ferry.

Norm was born on Jan. 30, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Herman and Lucille Aldridge. At age seven, Norm’s family moved to southern Idaho. After his schooling Norm began working in construction in the Bay Area of California.

Norm married Starrlet Calloway on Jan. 20, 1978, in Sunnyville, Calif. They made their home in Ben Lomond, Calif.

In 1993 Norm moved to Bonners Ferry and worked for Northwest Academy and Boulder Creek Academy. In addition he owned and operated Solutions Handyman Service, and together with Starr they operated Rockin’ A’s DJ service. Norm retired in 2014.

Norm was a member of the Boundary County Search & Rescue, was a past Elk, and recruiter for the NRA. He loved music and played both the clarinet and saxophone.

He is survived by his wife, Starr Aldridge of Bonners Ferry; sister Wanda VonHolle of Eagle, Ore.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, Veeda Allen and Sharon Kaufman, and his niece Sherri Jackson.
