Bonners Ferry Lions Club closes ... with a silver lining
“The Silver Lining” makes this sad news a little less sad. After over 50 years of Community Service, the Bonners Ferry Lions Club has closed its doors.
The silver lining in this story is that they have chosen the Rotary Club of Bonners Ferry and the Bonners Ferry Rotary Foundation to pick up the torch and carry it forward.
The Lions Club Park has been donated to the Bonners Ferry Rotary Foundation and will be operated and managed by the Rotary Club of Bonners Ferry. It is the Club’s plan to continue the events and traditions of the Lions Club. We look forward to continuing the Free Fishing day for the kids at the Rotary Park, as well as the Easter Egg Hunt at the fairgrounds, and the Family Fun Night at the Fourth of July Festival.
With this donation comes new responsibilities and new opportunities. While Rotary is ready to take on this challenge and responsibility, we are always looking for new members to help us grow and continue to support our community and our world.
Feel free to stop by Mugsy’s Tavern and Grill on any Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to learn more about Rotary, or check us out on Facebook.
