Tim Foust
Tim Foust
Tim Foust was born Feb. 7, 1957 to Mike and Helen Foust, the youngest of three sons: Steve, Tom and Tim.
Tim was born with boundless energy and a big heart. His boundless energy at times could drive his parents and teachers crazy, but his glacial blue eyes and sweet smile could get him out of most mischief. At a young age he channeled his abundant energy into sports. He excelled in baseball, basketball, football, and track. He helped lead the Bonners Ferry Badgers to a state championship in football and basketball, his senior year in 1975. That same year he became a state champion in pole-vaulting. He loved to relive his glory days, talking fondly of his friends and team-mates. That passion would extend to his children and grandchildren. Coaching, scolding, and cheering them on in sports.
He married his high school sweetheart and homecoming queen, Marci Sandaker, in 1977. Together they raised three daughters: Kamber, Ivy and Jacque. They provided much entertainment, joy and laughter. As did his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
After high school Tim went right into the family business, Foust Logging Inc.
Tim loved many things; some of his favorites were family, friends, Christmas, smokies over a burn barrel, hot au jus, air guitar, Tippy dogs, and the Washington State Cougars. Go Cougs!
Tim eventually moved to Rathdrum to be close to his three daughters, their spouses, and grandchildren; where they all currently reside. Tim fought a brave fight against AML (bone-marrow cancer) after being diagnosed only one year ago. His laugh, sense of humor, and outgoing personality will be missed by many. He finally made it to the tall and uncut on Oct. 21, 2019.
His celebration of life will be noon Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at the Great Northwest Territories Event Center.
He is survived by Marci Foust, Kamber Naumann, and Anthony Scarcello. Ivy and Jim McElwain; Jacque and Tom Walker. Grandchildren: Keanon, Mckenna, Eddie Naumann; Louis Scarcello (Kamber) Jordan, Levi, and Lacy McElwain (Ivy); and; Brooks Walker (Jacque); and Isla Bauer (Mckenna).
