Saturday, Aug. 31

Bonners Ferry High School Trap Team, “Dukes Claybusters”: Scores included Wyatt Hathaway 23X25, Zane Carver 23X25, Melanie Campbell 23X25, Colin Fairchild 23X25, Wyatt McDonald 21X25, Dane Hathaway 22X25, and Dillon McLeish 18X25.

We had two new shooters this week, Emily and sister Taylor. These young ladies were shooting very well for their first time out — on the second 25 for Taylor she broke an unbelievable 20X25. I hope both young ladies keep coming out, plus any other school student, girl or boy, age 12 or older with a hunter safety certificate.

Sunday, Sept. 1

Bonners Ferry Gun Club: We had 11 shooters today. Nice day, a little breezy. A good day for shooting with only two pieces of meat going across state line today. Thank you Montana and Canadian members for your support. Even though you take our Idaho meat home in the Annie Oakleys, good shooting.

I wish to think all the Boundary County residents, and others from Canada, Montana, Idaho and Washington, for all their support of the “Dukes Claybusters” School Trapshooting Team, as the raffle was a huge success. We made enough for this year’s practice and completion shooting.

Ken Irons won the 2020 Yamaha ATV 450, while the weekend at the Kootenai River Inn went to Jaana Stanford. Joseph Sullivan won the stainless steel gas barbecue with side burner from Super 1 Foods. Ivy Rombough won the pallet of presto logs or a ton of pellets from North Idaho Energy Logs and Laura Lee won the $100 gas card from 3 Mile Station.

Thank You All!
