The purpose of the increase is to help fund the cost of operating the Restorium. These new fees will take effect October 1, 2019. Notice Fee Increase Hearing The City of Bonners Ferry will meet on September 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, 7232 Main Street, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, for the purpose of taking public testimony regarding a fee increase to the city's electric rates. Pursuant to Idaho Code 63-1311A, City Council will consider a 9.5% increase to the base rate, kilowatt per hour rate and demand charges across electric rate classes as shown in the attached rate table. This increase is based on recommendations made by an independent consulting firm during a cost of service rate study conducted by the City. The purpose of the rate increase is to cover continued operation and maintenance costs across the city's electric system, raise capital to complete a 5-year capital improvement plan that perform improvements to the City's electric infrastructure and make vital spillway repairs at the Moyie River Hydro facility.
