Traditionally, in the last week of each month “Game of the Day” for the Mirror Lake ladies is “Ace of the Month,” in which the winner earns the title of “Ace.”

At the end of the season, all the Aces compete in a championship play-off for the honor of Mirror Lake Ladies’ “Ace of the Year.” All players attempt to bring their best game to the course for this important monthly event.

Therefore, “Game of the Day” for all the Aug. 27-28 players was “Ace of the Month” for the month of August, 2019. The winners were Therese Helmer for the Wednesday morning players with an impressive Low Gross of 46 and Low Net of 33, and Blanche Studer, a dedicated Mirror Lake Ladies’ golfer for many years, for the Tuesday evening players. Congratulations ladies! We will follow you closely in the championship competition!

Other Wednesday morning award winners were Karen English, who made “Closest to Pin” with her drive on Hole #2, Carrie Figgins who had a chip-in on Hole #5, and Karen, Carrie and Evelyn Rae who were in a three-way tie for “Low Putts,” with 17.

The Mirror Lake ladies’ meet every Tuesday evening and/or Wednesday morning at the Mirror Lake Golf Club. The month of September brings in our fall time schedule, in which the Tuesday evening players tee off between 5:30 and 6 p.m., and the Wednesday morning players’ tee time moves up to 10 a.m. for a later start in the fall weather. There is still plenty of time of join in! All lady golfers are welcome!
