Last 2nd Harvest for the year

The fourth and last 2nd Harvest food distribution of the year will be held this Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot. Food is available for all who need it. Please bring your own boxes.

Idaho and Washington Beef Producers will provide meat for the event as they have in the past.

This year’s events have been sponsored by Bonners Ferry Veterinary, Bonners Ferry Rotary, two local churches, numerous donations by individuals, a grant by 2nd Harvest, and by Thrivent Financial.

Each event brings around five tons of food to 200 families. These deliveries supplement the food bank by including large amounts of fresh and frozen foods. All food left at the end of the event is donated to our local food bank.

This week’s event will take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sept. 20.
