Investigation continues in March 12 fatal shooting

BONNERS FERRY — The investigation continues in the fatal shooting of 45-year old Kootenai County man, Brian Drake, that occurred on March 12 at 6811 Main St. in Bonners Ferry.

According to Bonners Ferry Police Department Assistant Chief Marty Ryan, the Idaho State Police (ISP) have taken the lead on the investigation, dedicating six to eight full-time detectives to the case.

“We are very thankful for their assistance,” said Ryan. “They simply have the resources that are not afforded in a small agency like this.”

Ryan said that Bonners Ferry Police Department is continuing to work very closely with ISP as the investigation continues.
