Boundary County Middle School offers child care

| April 16, 2020 1:00 AM

BONNERS FERRY — In addition to the hard work that the Boundary County Middle School (BCMS) staff and administrators have been doing to help students stay engaged and educated during the soft closure of the district schools, staff and administration have been helping families and students with child care and nutritional needs.

BCMS has recently offered child care to children of the district staff members as well as those children of emergency personnel. BCMS has also continued with distribution of the “food pickup” which is available in the school’s north parking lot from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

Teaching staff have been proactive with the delivery of education to the middle school students who are now studying at home. Student learning is now conducted digitally through both Google Classroom and with correspondence packets.

To help those students without internet access at home, BCMS has opened the Wi-Fi access at the school and is available for those students who can travel to the north parking lot. The Wi-Fi access is available 24/7.

For more information, please contact the office at BCMS at 208-267-5852.
