James Lublin, 67 James Lublin, 67

| April 16, 2020 1:00 AM

After many years of illness, Jim’s suffering finally ended on April 9, 2020. He leaves behind Suzanne Lublin, his loving wife of 25 years, brothers Steve (Marti) and Rick (Ginger), sister Kande, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was born in Salt Lake City on July 4, 1952, to Blaine and Murl Lublin. He grew up in Utah but eventually made his way to Las Vegas where he met Suzanne. During their initial conversation, they realized that they had actually met in Portland, Ore., about 23 years earlier.

He was a millwright by trade but his passion was music. As a young guitar player, he enjoyed playing in his band, Wishful Thinking, which performed as the opening act for several famous bands in the 1970s. He was a songwriter and accomplished musician.

Jim had a big heart and loved all living things, especially the animals that found their way to Suzanne and Jim. His beautiful voice, wonderful music and unique sense of humor will be missed.
