BONNERS FERRY— It was a quick meeting as the Bonners Ferry City Council was again held courtesy of the ZOOM app in efforts to comply with social distancing recommendations.

Along with the agenda for the Council meeting was a packet of information concerning ongoing water system projects.

The Filter Underdrain Project is said to be going well. The project has completed a new concrete filter flooring. The city water employees have received the new system and the installation of the system was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 21. The council anticipates that the system will be operable by April 27.

The Well House Project was reported to be progressing. City employees have all but one of the concrete pours required by the project. The project has been delayed due to concrete block not being available for another 30 days. This project is scheduled to be completed and operational by July or August of 2020.

Additionally, the Council discussed an abandoned golf cart that was left in the cart shed at the golf course. It was decided to sell the cart, with all Council members who were present agreeing.

The Bonners Ferry City Council meets at 6 p.m. every first and third Tuesday of the month. The next Bonners Ferry City Council meeting is May 5 via the ZOOM app. The app is free to download from your smartphone play store.
