LCSC to hold virtual graduation ceremony

| April 23, 2020 1:00 AM

Lewis-Clark State College President Cynthia Pemberton has announced the college will hold a virtual commencement ceremony on May 15 at 2 p.m. The ceremony will premiere on LC State’s Facebook page: facebook.com/lewisclarkstate, and faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni and friends are welcome and encouraged to join together virtually in recognizing and congratulating this year’s graduating class.

“We have incredible graduates who have overcome innumerable challenges, including a spring semester filled with obstacles, and we want to do everything we can to recognize and celebrate their success,” Pemberton said. “I know a virtual ceremony will never be the same as actually walking across the stage, but we are going to do our best to honor this year’s graduating class and I hope the entire Warrior family will join us virtually to cheer them on.”

The virtual ceremony will feature messages from Gov. Brad Little and the Idaho State Board of Education, an address by Pemberton from the Silverthorne Theatre, and a video presentation displaying photos of all of this year’s graduates.

More details surrounding commencement will be available soon at lcsc.edu.

In addition, school officials said 2020 graduates are still invited to take part in the 2021 ceremony as well.
