More than 3M COVID-19 cases reported worldwide
The total number of COVID-19 cases surpassed three million worldwide on Monday, according to Johns Hopkins University.
As new cases of COVID-19 are reported, an interactive map developed by Johns Hopkins University provides near real-time tracking. The map pulls information from a range of sources to provide twice-daily updates.
The most recent update at 11:37 a.m. on April 27 counted 3,012,484 cases worldwide.
That’s an increase of a million cases in 12 days.

The map also tracks deaths and recoveries
Worldwide, 208,517 people have died from COVID-19, including 55,266 in the United States.
Currently, more than 800,000 people have recovered worldwide.
