BONNERS FERRY — With the safety and health of its guests and team members in mind, the ownership of the Kootenai River Inn Casino and Spa has targeted May 16 for the casino operations, restaurant, and Spa to reopen for business.

“As we navigate through these challenging times, please realize that operations have been adjusted to accommodate the current situation we live in,” Tom Turpin, KRI general manager, said.

The Kootenai River Inn will be implementing additional health and sanitation protocols as well as changes to the operation, including the conversion of the Fireside Casino & Deli to non-smoking, Turpin said, adding that smoking is still allowed in the Kootenai Falls Casino.

“We hope to go back to something more normal as soon as possible and want our guests and team members to know that our number one goal is their well-being,” he said.

As it gets closer to May 16, Turpin said KRI ownership will confirm that open date. In the meantime, those needing more information can contact KRI at info@kootenairiverinn.com.
