Remember Don’s Café? Don Betty purchased The Fountain Café (Wilson Law Office) in 1950. He remodeled it in 1952 and changed the name to Don’s Café. He then purchased the KV Grocery (Panhandle/Mia Pueblo) on the corner of Kootenai and Main streets in 1958.

Don moved the café to the corner and sold the original space. It became Bernie’s Dress Shop. Don served many a hungry patron; he was known for his famous Thanksgiving Day dinners. This receipt is for 18 meals. What a bargain!
