Lillie Mastre, 92, of Grant, Neb., passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant.

Lillie was born May 1, 1928, at Copeland, Kan., to Edward and Minnie Unruh. She attended school in Kansas.

On Nov. 14, 1948, Lillie married Cyril Mastre, and their union was blessed with eight children. The couple made their home in Merced County, California, for a few years before moving to Idaho. In 1975, the family moved to Madrid in western Nebraska.

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril; her parents; six brothers; three sisters; a son; a granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.

Survivors include her children, Sandra (Richard) Justus of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Gloria (Bruce) Peaster of Madrid, Nebraska; Judy (Carlos) Ensz of Bruneau, Idaho; Janette (Gordon) Ensz of Madrid; Denton (Sherry) Mastre of Grant; Arnold (Debbie) Mastre of Burns, Ore.; Charlene (John) Boehs of Grant; Myron (Amy) Mastre of Bruneau; 37 grandchildren; 114 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard (Ruth) Unruh of Grafton, N.D.; and a sister, Regina Unruh of Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Family graveside services were held on Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at the Madrid Cemetery.
