Game of the Day for the Mirror Lake ladies’ week of Aug. 5 was “Best Ball Foursome,” in which each group of players submits their best score on each hole as their team score.
Winners were the team of Gerry Ann Howlett, Ada Gardiner, Linda Hiatt and Beverly Comegys with their net score of 33.25. Jenny Link won for Low Gross with her gross 46. Karen English and Ada Gardiner tied for Low Net with 36. Gerry Ann Howlett had the least putts with 13. Renee Murphy had a chip In on Hole #6 and Gerry Ann Howlett had a chip in on hole #2. That chip in was also a birdie for Gerry Ann and her winning team. With our milder summer weather, all participants had a very enjoyable golf morning and/or evening.
The Mirror Lake ladies golf group meets every Tuesday evening and every Wednesday morning from May through September. Tuesday evening tee off times are flexible and sometimes begin as early as 4:30 p.m., although the usual start time is 5 p.m. Wednesday morning tee off time is 9 a.m. from June through September. There is still plenty of time for play left in the summer. Any interested lady golfer is welcome to come and join in.
