From the Archives - Aug. 13, 2020

The Boundary County Historical Society incorporated on Jan. 12, 1967. The first Board of Trustees consisted of Monk Shelman, Alice Kruegel, Grace Knoles and Ruth Campbell.

The Historical Society had not yet established a Museum by 1967. However, they wished to have a booth at the “Valley of Fortune” county fair. It was decided to solicit items from individuals of the community for the booth display. The fair booth received high reviews and … a blue ribbon.
