Mirror Lake ladies enjoy ‘Bingo, Bango, Bongo’
Game of the Day for the Mirror Lake ladies’ week of Aug. 12, 2020, was “Bingo, Bango, Bongo,” in which a “dot” or point is earned by each person on a team who is first on the green, and/or closest to the pin, and/or first to putt in.
Anne Bonar was the winner of game of the day with 10 points. There was a tie for second place between Linda Rupley, Maureen Blackmore and Etta Mae Schneurle with 9 points each. Gerry Ann Howlett won the Low Gross award with 45 and also won for Low Net with 33. Etta Mae Schneurle got the prize for Low Putts with 14.
The three groups of four players each had a lot of fun with this game. Weather was a little cool and windy, but the ladies had a very fun day.
The Mirror Lake ladies golf group meets every Tuesday evening and every Wednesday morning from May through September. Tuesday evening tee off times are flexible and sometimes begin as early as 4:30 p.m., although the usual start time is 5 p.m. Wednesday morning tee off time is 9 a.m., from June through September.
August is speeding along it seems, but there is still time to join in through September. Any interested lady golfer is welcome to play!
