Roy Lefebvre
Roy Lefebvre was born June 26, 1935, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Buck and Maude Lefebvre. He was the second sibling that included Ray, Louise, Collins, Eva and Ann Lefebvre. Roy was in the graduating class of 1953.
After high school Roy enlisted in the Navy and toured the Far East. After four years, Roy left the Navy and returned home to Bonners Ferry. He enrolled in an electrician school, met his future wife, Donna Lesmeister, and began a family.
Roy was hired by AT&T and for the next 25 years would move around the country with his wife and children, Lisa and Jeff Lefebvre. Their travels took them from Spokane, Wash., to Arizona, New Jersey, Colorado and ended in California where he retired.
Their lives consisted of many family reunions in Vancouver and Spokane, Wash. Roy and Donna took many cruises, trips to Hawaii, and Europe. Donna passed away in 1990. Many years later, in 2002, Roy would reconnect with his high school sweetheart, Barbara Carey-Wiggins (Bonners Ferry class of 1955). They eventually married in 2011 and Roy gained two step daughters, Debora Mehlhaff (and her husband David), and Wanda Dasler Hennelly (and her husband Neil). They resided in Gresham, Ore.
Roy was known for his sense of humor, love of family, honesty, work ethic, and pride of his Native American heritage. His given Blackfoot name was Three Eagles.
Roy was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2015. Due to complications from the disease he passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020, with his wife Barbara by his side. Roy is survived by five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
