BFHS boys soccer start the season strong
Bonners Ferry — The Badger boys soccer team has begun the season with a clear goal to dominate the season and silenced any would-be doubters with 4 goals in a complete shutout against Timberlake High School.
Daniel Walker led the team with 3 goals early on in the game; the first half saw Walker make 2 goals, even recording a hat trick within the first 15 minutes for the Badgers.
Walker, a returning senior, showed off his leadership skills and talent by leading strikes and setting the game’s pace.
Dalin Foster, a returning senior, made the fourth goal; foster is the hammer that nailed the coffin with his goal against Timberlake High School.
Nick Eastman assisted with two of the goals and significantly improved chances with strong skills in the field.
The goalkeeper Josh Beazer had only one save but made sure to deny any chance to the opposing team.
According to Head Coach of the boys soccer, Brycen Lunger, a strong defense with smart leadership on the field, helped to eliminate any pressure on Beazer.
Lunger credited boys soccer team win due to setting a good pace early in the game and once establishing a lead, coasted but maintained pressure.
When asked what his hopes for the team, Lunger said, “The goal is to win the IML championship and go on a title run.”
