Game of the Day for the Mirror Lake ladies’ for the week of Aug. 19 was “Mystery Partner, Low Net” in which the “mystery partners’” names are drawn out of a hat after the close of play, and the mystery team with the lowest combined net score are the winners.
This week’s winning mystery partners team was Jenny Link and Linda Hiatt with their combined net of 69. Jenny Link also won for the lowest Gross score with 46. Karen English and Ada Gardiner tied for the lowest net score with 36.
Gerry Ann Howlett won for having the fewest putts in the “A” Flight with 13, and RuthAnn Wilson won for fewest putts in the “B” Flight with 14. Gerry Ann had a birdie on Hole No. 2, and Renee Murphy had a chip in on Hole No. 6. All in all, it was a very enjoyable morning.
The Mirror Lake ladies golf group meets every Tuesday evening and every Wednesday morning from May through September. Tuesday evening tee-off times are flexible and sometimes begin as early as 4:30 p.m., although the usual start time is 5 p.m. Wednesday morning tee-off time is 9 a.m. There is only one more ladies’ golf day left in August but there are many yet to come in September so there are still a lot of games to play. We love to welcome new golfers to the group at any time. Any interested lady golfer is welcome to join!
