North Bench Fire reschedules annual meeting

BONNERS FERRY — North Bench Volunteer Fire District annual meeting has been rescheduled to Jan. 25, 2021, instead of Dec. 14, 2020.

According to the news release, Idaho State Gov. Brad Little issued a “stay at home order” in hopes of curving the rapid increase in COVID-19 infections in Idaho.

The order prohibits public events where more than 10 people are in attendance and also imposes other limitations where gatherings are allowed.

“On Dec. 14, 2020 the board of directors of North Bench Fire District agreed to postpone the annual meeting to be held on Jan. 25.”

According to the news release, the hops is when conditions improve and it is deemed safe to allow large gatherings, the board will reschedule and five due and timely notice.

NBVFD President Fred Nystrom wrote, “The public’s patience and understanding are deeply appreciated by the board of directors as we wait together for conditions to improve.”
