The State of Idaho Department of Transportation’s Construction Program encompasses Boundary County. The Bonners Ferry’s bypass project is one of 14 projects on the list, and will include 0.9 miles of construction.

Rep. Jim McClure has announced his proposal to renew minting the Eisenhower Silver Dollar. The legislation has won approval of House Banking and Currency Committee.

Larrie Hoglan takes the top slot in the Veterans of Foreign Wars “Voice of Democracy” oratory contest. The VFW District Commander from Kingston, Idaho and Alvin Monger, social post commander, awarded the top 3 place winners.

The city of Bonners Ferry is paying around $110,000 more than expected for a water system improvement project.

Bonners Ferry City Council members are deciding how dense development will have to be before the city requires building six foot sidewalks.

Bonners Ferry used a full court press to come after Clark Fork early and parlayed a 16-4 start into a 58-41 win Thursday night.
